A board pack of 300 pages is not transparency. It is often the opposite. When everything is sent, nothing is prioritised, and the burden of judgement quietly shifts from management to directors who have hours, not weeks. Good board papers do three things: state the decision required, show the options that were rejected and why, and name the risks management is accepting. Length is not diligence. Many family groups in the region are preparing for the handover to the next generation. The hardest part is rarely the shares. It is the authority. Ownership can be transferred by document. Legitimacy cannot. Families that sustain across generations usually separate three things early: the family council, the shareholders' forum, and the board. When those roles stay blended, every business decision becomes a family decision, and every family tension becomes a business risk.تستعد مجموعات عائلية كثيرة في المنطقة لتسليم القيادة إلى الجيل التالي. والجزء الأصعب نادراً ما يكون الأسهم، بل السلطة. فالملكية تُنقل بوثيقة، أما الشرعية فلا. والعائلات التي تستمر عبر الأجيال تفصل عادةً بين ثلاثة أمور مبكراً: مجلس العائلة، وجمعية المساهمين، ومجلس الإدارة. وحين تبقى هذه الأدوار متداخلة، يصبح كل قرار تجاري قراراً عائلياً، وكل توتر عائلي خطراً على الأعمال.
